CEIP Emilio Carmona is one of the four public elementary and primary schools in the town of Maracena. We have six hundred and fifty seven pupils. About 15 percent of them come from other countries. The age range in our school is three to twelve years old. We have 6 classes in the Elementary unit and 19 classes in the Primary Unit of the school. We have a staff of thirty-six teachers.

Paco is our funny mascot. He is one of the lions in the most famous fountain in The Alhambra, which gives name to the popular "Patio de los Leones" in this beautiful Arab castle.
